What is the Center for Employee Assistance?

We are a program that offers confidential counseling and a referral service that can help your employees and their dependents resolve work, personal, or family problems that may impact their duties and responsibilities. We listen to their concerns with an open mind to help identify the cause of the problem and then work through it to develop a practical solution as quickly as possible.

We are there to help you, your employees and their dependents.


Center for Employee Assistance Features

• Brief EAP assessment and counseling utilizing telehealth virtual and/or telephone services are available.
• We are also available 24 hours for crisis to speak to an EAP counselor that will handle your crisis call.
• For all employees and their immediate family members.
• No charge to you - It's part of your benefit package paid by your employer.
• Help solve issues that affect your personal well being, performance and productivity.

• That's all it may take to help you sort out your problems and work out a plan of action.
• The CEAP can help you deal with personal, family and work situations you find troubling.
• Whenever you need us you can reach us 24 hours a day, everyday of the year.
• Our services are at no cost to you, the employee.
• Any and all conversations are strictly between you and your counselor. No one needs to know you called.
• However, if we believe there's a threat of serious harm to you or others, the law requires us to report the situation.
• When you call, we'll arrange for you to see a counselor. And if you need help beyond what we can give, we'll make recommendations based on your health care plan and financial resources.

Services for Employees

• Brief EAP assessment and counseling utilizing Telehealth Virtual and/or Telephonic services are available: One (1) to Eight (8) telehealth sessions per problem per year depending on your Employee Assistance Program setup by employer.
• 24 hour service

Type of Problems Covered

• Family problems with children, changes in family structure, serious illness of a family member, aging parents
• Marital-divorce, communication problems, resolving conflict, domestic violence
• Work related-interpersonal issues, job dissatisfaction, conflict with authority
• Alcohol/Drug abuse affecting work performance and/or work rules, family life
• Emotional-stress, anxiety, depression/mood swings, lack of self control, unresolved anger
• Alternative treatment services available for specific needs, example stress therapy

Once you have decided to seek counseling services, call 915-544-7980 and you will talk the Counselor that will be providing counseling services. Our counseling and assessment services are confidential and no information will be released without your consent. There are exceptions required by law: threat of harm to self or others; child abuse; elder abuse.

The Center for Employee Assistance Program is an independent organization of professional social workers and counselor who conduct similar programs for a number of companies.
Spouse, common law spouses, children living with employee, elderly parents, girlfriend/boyfriend. Call the center if you need additional clarification on eligible dependents.
The EAP is designed to help employees with those problems that can affect all families at one time or another. The problems can also affect job performance unless they are treated promptly and professionally.
Specifically, the program is geared to assist with problems involving marital difficulties, family and/or job stress, alcohol abuse or dependency, drug abuse, and emotional health. While some employees may be able to handle these kinds of problems by themselves, your employer recognizes that there are others who may need professional assistance, but can't find the help they need.
Center for Employee Assistance is an independent organization of professionally licensed social workers, and counselors who conduct similar programs for a number of companies. Their effectiveness and reputation is built on their ability to aid employees in dealing with personal problems and their integrity is protecting the confidentiality of their families, subject to applicable laws.
Due to confidentiality restrictions we will never inform your employer that you are attending the CEAP unless you request we do so and sign a consent to release confidential information. If you have been mandated to attend counseling in order to keep your current position with the company we will have you sign a consent to release information to your employer regarding attendance purposes only, no other information will be released.
The number of sessions are based on your company’s contract with the CEAP. Normally, each employee will be allowed up to 8 sessions per problem per year. There are no limits to the number of problems.

Appointments are offered within 3-5 business days of the initial request. Emergency (crisis) situations are handled within 2 to 24 hours. Employees and dependents or significant others living with the employee are eligible for these services.
